I also added a bit of reinforcement to the base and lid of the box to help it keep a nice shape. Gauge isn’t critical for this project but I’ve provided it to help guide you. Just make sure that the yarn you choose isn’t too flimsy and that you use a hook to keep the stitches tight. You really could use lots of different yarns, even clean out your stash.
